What level of First Aid qualification do I require? Follow

Please note that currently, there is no official ECB guidance or policy on First Aid.
If you wish to go to do a First Aid course on your own, we would normally say that you sign up to course that:
- is face-to-face
- has a practical assessment involved to pass
- provides you with a certificate of completion that is valid for 3 years
Based on this we would strongly advise against taking an online First Aid course, as should you find yourself in an emergency situation, you will benefit best from having had practical experience in administering First Aid to another individual.
Please also bear in mind that as you are working with children, the First Aid training should be in line with the age-group you aim to support.
