What does the Dynamos Cricket Programme look like?
Follow
The recommended programme length is eight-weeks during the summer term and/or summer holidays. However, the programme length is flexible so that clubs can tailor it to best fit with its existing junior activity schedule.
The programme is centred around game play with each session including a ‘skill zone’ aimed at providing an active warm-up, but also focusing in on a particular skill for that week. For example, we know that accurate bowling is one of the main factors in a game running smoothly, therefore the focus of the skills zone in the early weeks will be on games and activities that develop bowling. During the programme, children will play 60-ball countdown cricket each week, with the skills zone activity changing week to week. Sessions are designed to take anywhere between 60-90 minutes (club discretion).
